Question about choke

When you first start up the bike and apply full choke, what would cause it to rev to 5k rpm's?

Oh and it just doesn't hit it and drop back down, it actually stays at 5k until you pull the choke back down.

Mine to, but that is because it is a MANUAL CHOKE not automatic... You have to turn it down your self.
