"might need a Power Commander now"

I dont have one guys...and from looking at thier site id need to have a custom map made if i did get one as they only have the F4i listed...
So do you think that the K&N has caused this? Or the manifold?

Yeh think thats what i'll have to do.
Sucks as i binned the dirty old one, would have been good to atleast test the difference with. Now gotta buy another :-( lol

Oh, talked to the guy at the bike shop who sold me the manifold, told me theres absolutely no difference in the new stainless to the OEM, just smoother obviously.
He also recommended that i make sure i havent got a different filter or end can.

I have a akrapovic carbon/titanium but thats been on the bike for a long time, so im thinking the k&n must be the issue here.

The manifold is OEM replica, ive checked with the supplier.
I think the K&N is where the issue is...which i darn annoying as i thought being a lifetime filter i was making the right choice there. I guess its OEM FTW :-/

Don't put so much faith in what one man shouted at a computer monitor. K&N's don't make enough of a difference to cause the problem you're describing; that's why they can advertise full OEM compatibility.

lol......believe me man it makes a difference. ask anyone who races f2s. no matter how you jet you lose power ive seen it on the dyno of course if iam wrong do explain why they dont make much of a difference........not much difference between stock and k and n just like not much difference between an f2 and an f3..........

Well its the only logical change to the bike that could make a difference.
I see in this months RiDE UK theyve done a write up on changing the headers and used the same brand and shop as i have!
I'll fit the OEM replacement filter this week and let you know how i get on...

I've always had Honda cars to, my latest a Integra DC2 typeR import. Its gota SPOON filter. The amount of people that have lost power from bolt on filters with dyno sheets to prove is incredible, suprises me how these companies stay in buisness some of them.
The only two that actually works is the SPOON replacement element (which tbh is no different from OEM yet is £130!!!) and a MUGEN carbon box which is approx £700!!! And their Honda most recommended tuners, all their BTCC cars run these tuners parts.

It would seem Honda are the experts here, not 3rd party companies. Unless you change the whole Map of the bike to suit.
