Anybody know what connects to the lower nipple?

the petcock on my f2 had a vac. line going to it but i think it was on he back side not the bottom.. i do know if you don't hook the vac line back up you will not get far with just the fuel in the carbs and fuel line no gas will come from the tank.... hope that helps in some way ....

 

I have one vac line conected( inline with fuel) its the other one im not sure of (pointing down)

The third line pointing down is an orifice for the vacume fuel valve.
Try put your finger on it while the engine is running, and you will feel suction. Nothin is supposed to be connected to it.

 

Actually, on my F2 a short rubber hose is connected to that nipple (about 9-10 inch in length).
However, the other end of that hose goes nowhere. The hose simply hangs loose beneath it.

Yea its a vacum line but it should run from your number one carbutator. It opens a diaphragm in your pet **** when the engine is running to allow fuel flow. Kinda as a back up in case you forget to shut off the fuel to your bike when you park it.
