Default Spark plug nipples

Do you guys run your plugs the the nipple end on?
mine never came with them on, but I have noticed that my plug boots keep detaching by themselves

Yes they should be put on.. I think when I bought my NGK's they were just loose in the box, but you will need them installed to keep the wires attached.

Some bikes like my XL600 don't use them which might be why they don't come pre-installed.. they both use the same spark plug.

Try spark plug top nut or terminal nut.

I think they are called a terminal.. usually they will be in the box with the plugs, that's strange. If you can't find any locally I have piles of old plugs at work, if I can unscrew the terminals from those I'll mail you a set just let me know.

Thanks guys,
Terminal nut is indeed the correct term for spark plug nipple

My new plugs never came with the terminals attached or in the box, i guess they assume you'll reuse them? The problem is that when i bought the bike it didn't have them on the sparks plugs originally either, so i assumed i didn't need it.

I guess I'll just head over to an autopart store tomorrow and pick a few up. Thank you for the offer though TahoeRider i.
