Default Owner's manual: Proper shifting

Page 54

Proper shifting will provide better fuel economy. When changing gears under normal conditions, use these recommended shift points.

Shifting Up:
From 1st to 2nd: 9 mph
From 2nd to 3rd: 16 mph
From 3rd to 4th: 22 mph
From 4th to 5th: 28 mph
From 5th to 6th: 34 mph

Shifting Down:
From 6th to 5th: 25 mph
From 5th to 4th: 19 mph
From 4th to 3rd: 12mph

Who the heck shifts one of these things to 2nd at 9 mph? I can't even imagine 6th gear at 34 mph.
