Default not sure about cct

Hi , newbie question here.
I've got what to me sounds like a bad cct lots of noise when first started.
I have ordered one just waiting for it . I took out the old cct and noticed its not seized solid does this mean it's still bad or not , I can push the plunger in with my finger pretty easy . Wandering if it's not holding the pressure against the chain.
thanks

I would like to know the answer myself. I have put my new one in and its quiet but i wont be able to tell until i run my bike and can get it hot. Thats when my starts getting really loud.

But as far as pushing the old CCT in i was able to do the same thing with mine so it may not be fully seized but just not working 100%.

Reading about the cct and hearing that a'lot of them were siezed was starting to make me think it might be something else.

At 20K miles, my cam chain was so far beyond what I consider reasonable, that it scared me that I pushed it that far. I believe it's had pretty regular maintenance as well. Might check that...
