Newbie Here! 1994 CBR 600 ?
Hey CBR Riders!
I'm a newbie on the post! I went ahead and picked up a 1994 600 CBR that I need to help with if you don't mind
1. Is the gas tank arrow up for gas, pointing forward for reserve and pointing down for off?
2. Bike has a hard time idling but I can start it up with the choke. any ideas on what to do to keep the bike idling itself without leaving the choke or throttle turned?
3 Where would I pickup the user manual for this?
4. How about the decals? I picked up this bike without decals.
Thank you friends. The bike has 18K on it and I can' wait to ride it (back tire needs to be chnaged).

1. Up is RES, Left (Forward to the bike..) is OFF, and Down is ON.
2. You may want to start with a basic tune-up, you never know when it was done last and it will be a great way to familiarize yourself with the bike. Change the oil, filter, air filter, and maybe the plugs...if that does not get it running right it may need a carb cleaning.
3. Owner's manuals are hard to come by, but the link to theService manual is posted in this forum and in the General Tech forum.
4. There are a million after-market vinyl decal sets on eBay...some of them cool. Not sure at all about OEM decals though...remember the bike IS 14 years old!
WELCOME! to the forum and to F2 land...lot's of knowledge here, you made a good choice.

RE: Newbie Here! 1994 CBR 600 ?
Awesome!
Thank you!
The bike is silver and black (looks like it was painted but not too bad, i've seen worse).
I will look online at ebay for decals, thank you.
Also, if I take the bike in for a tune up (its having a hard time idling at a steady 1500 (it keeps dying out even though I turned up the carb throttle).
I'm wondering if I should take it to a very close Yamaha shop for a tune up or do you suggest Honda?
Thank you!
I will post a pic of it as soon as I get it home (its still in the sellers garage. I could not it to idle when at a standstill so I left it there since I would be driving in traffic).
Thank you!
