Default newb question

hey everyone i am new to bikes, and just purchased a 93 cbr 600 f2, now when i am at about 55-60 the bike runs at about 5500-6000 rpms. I was told it had diffrent sprockets on it, but was wondeirng what the rpms would be with the stock sprockets, or if the guy was pulling my chain.

Stock sprockets will run close to 5k at 60mph...IIRC. The # is punched on the side of the sprocket.

That rpm/mph sounds about right - at least it's around the same for me. Mine kind of sputters/is not smooth at that rpm/mph, that's how I know.

yup i was riding today and at 60mph it was at 5k. i was just wondering. also one more question, i was digging into the bike earlier, took the side platic off to check all my fluids and lube up the chain. my question is where do i check the tranny fluid??? when i was looking it looks like the tranny and the motor is all one, but i dont know bikes to well so i couldnt tell you?
