Default New & need help locating parts

Dumped a bike today - 91 CBR600F2 - that doesn't belong to me. Too much throttle in first, front wheel up, me airborne, bike went flying. Landed on its taillight and then it came down on the left side. I don't even know what the parts are called that I broke and need to replace: Foot peg on left side; some type of cover on left side (forward of the foot peg, above the kickstand) that is now cracked (and from which all of the oil has now run out of the bike). I think I can remove the seat and bend the bracket that supports the taillight to realign it.

Can anyone help me out with where I might be able to locate the parts? Again, I am not just a novice, I have logged a total of 5 minutes on a bike, so
I really need some guidance in order to get this bike back up and running.

Man sorry to hear about your bad luck. GOTTA watch those RPMS though when starting. Well im hear to try and help. If you could post pics it would be easier to see whats busted but from your story i can try to help. You said oil has ran out of the part that cracked? If that piece is metal and looks sorta like this http://www.solomotoparts.com/catalog...8-p-32240.html then im pretty sure you have cracked the motor cover. The oil sits in that area so that is why oil would drip out. They can be replaced im pretty sure. just use that link or look it up on google. As far as plastic cracks are those are called fairings. Can be kinda pricy depending if you replace it. If you want to reapir it some BONDO or fiberglass repair kit would be the best bet. takes a little skill and youll have to paint again but if you dont care to much about the looks i would go that way. Thats about all i can answer without pictures but let me know how you do.

Default Thanks

CBRfenatic93, thanks for the help. I think what I need are these parts: generator cover & gasket. I would like to be sure that these indeed are the parts I need before I order them, so please, anyone, feel free to weigh in. Would oil leak out if I cracked the generator cover?

Also, I've looked at the exploded diagram for '91 CBR 600 F2, and I cannot figure out which footrest I need. It is the one that is immediately behind and below the shifter.

Note for admin - my apologies for originally posting in the wrong spot. As a newbie, I thought the intro thread was correct. Thanks for moving the post to the correct spot.

Default save wheelies for the next class

Sounds painful!! Maybe you should fire your teacher.

Did you have fun in your five minutes of ride time? Do you recommend that other beginners try the first gear wheelie maneuver? I want to be able to sing Lil' Wayne's "Stuntin Like My Daddy" without feeling like a poser.

halffast1g - This F2 must be in good shape then. It had no problems lifting up. Got any ideas on the best spot for parts? Is that indeed the generator (or stator) cover that I need? Also, if the bike came down on its side with enough force to crack the cover, should I be concerned about additional damage underneath?
