New Fairings
Anyone know if you can still buythe factory fairings from a honda dealership for the f2s? I Let an inexperienced person ride the bike and he dumped it, cracking right side fairings, he offered to buy brand new ones. Do they still sell them in the red white and blue colored bike of the F2?

RE: New Fairings
That is the number one reason I don't like to let anyone ride any of our bikes. There are a few trusted souls but I know their exerience levels well. I have even told my daughter she is not allowed to ride any of the street bikes until she does MSF and has a license.
Anyway, I do believe you can still get the OEM tupperware. I would also checkout Bike Bandit in the OEM section. If you are a AMA member you get a discount with them.

RE: New Fairings
After your friend finds out what they cost there's no way he's gonna pay up...
Gonna have to submit a claim to the insurance co.
Been there, done that. Best you can hope for is that your ex-buddy will cover the deductible. Or that the insurance company decides your bike is totalled and you can buy the bike back from them and take the extra money and buy the new or used fairings.
I've let two inexperienced people ride my bikes in the past, both of them crashed. One was my future nephew-in-law (whorode my 98 gsxr 750into a light pole - that one ended up being totalled and the insurance company settled with me enough for me to buy a 3 year newer gsxr 750 with 1/3rd the miles), the other was someone who was test driving a bike that I was selling and he drove my bike into my car and I got nailed with the claim. He did pay the deductible and ended up buying the bike...
