new bike in parts need help!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i got a f2 frame from some guy and a f3 motor from another person. i put the f2 carbs on the f3 motor and there is also no smog crap. the bike will fire up every once and a while. the timing is set right and the inter parts of the motor are fine. i think the problem is in the carbs. i have taken them apart many times and they are very clean. when the bike runs it runs really rich. when bike sits and idles for little and you give it throtle it dies out. as if when you throtle up on it, it sucks all the gas and not enough there to keep it idle after the rpms come back down. i am lost and cant figure it out. help me out please anything will help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If it's rich at idle, and you open the throttle more, it lets more gas in. The mixture is too rich, and the bike dies out as it's just too much damn gas.
Since this is on the idle mixture, back out your pilot jets a 1/2 turn at time (all at once) until you get some better response.
