I hope you torqued the heads to 37 ft. lbs. and your crank is probabley set to spec if it turned freely before.

As per the service manual. Heads are torqued to 35. Spark plugs 9. Connecting rods at 19. Not sure what else it could be. Crank spins, but not as freely as it should.

think you might have a ring that's not fully seated?

A piston ring? Could be but I replaced them and they all went in nice and easy unless the ring compressor tweaked one as it went in.
