the F2's are anywhere from 16-19 years old. unless you are very extreamly lucky, most are gonna need some work to get it back to good running condition. by that i mean running well, not just able to turn over.
if your willing to do the work you could let a few more things slide at purchase time that maybe wouldnt if you didnt want to do the work.
when you do get one, make it a point to change all the fluid, regardless of what the PO says, (they lie) ie. coolant, oil, brakes, etc.... also a very good idea to do a deep cleaning of the carbs, that sorta thing never hurts.
chain and sprockets can be inspected for wear and damage easily, as well as tires. when you get it home, make sure you go over every nut and bolt making sure they are all tight and within torque specs, (axles, motor mounts, clip ons, levers, calipers)
jsut take your time, making sure everything is up to par before going on any major journeys.
good luck and keep us updated. we are always here to answer questions.
