need help...head light problem

Default need help...head light problem

ok here's my problem on my bike. before one of the head light wiring gets hot but the head light still work. then stop working anymore wich is causing my rectifier regulator to get hot.
does any body know how to re-wire a head light.

I don't think your headlight problem is related to your reg/rect problem. There is no direct connection between the two.

Is the headlight bulb a stock one?? I suspect your headlight wiring is getting hot because you're using an aftermarket bulb that puts out more wattage than the stock one.

I don't know model specific details for your F2 -- you'll really need a manual. But as long as the battery has juice and the fuse isn't blown the headlight should light up. The rectifier is gonna get warm just because of where it sits -- but it shouldn't be "red" hot.

best bet is to get the service manual. you can download from many locations.
