Default Mysterious choke and carb?? Any Experts

So I have a 94 f2 and ive had it for 3 years now. I bought it and replaced the plugs, filter, and all fluids. The last two summers in ohio it ran PERFECT. I layed it down last november after taking it out to run stabilizer through it. Took it to the shop to have it streetfightered (best financial option) got it back in february, put the gast tank back on and fired it up. Its slowly starting to run better but its harder to start than ever (usually 5-6 tries choked. I let it warm up and turn the choke off...Idles fine, give it a few small revs and then it idles lower and sound like it wants to die. Did i mess up putting the tank back on....? I find it hard to believe carb is gunked for i always use stablilzer and 93 octane when needed. Any experts out there?

i did all the same maintenance on my f4 and even ran sea foam every 500 or so miles and my carbs still got a clog in the low idle jet so it wouldnt even idle. Based on what i have read the fuel these days has so much more junk in it then it used to that carbs get clogged up no matter what. it sounds like thats your issue and or your fuel filter has a clog or one of the lines has some minor blockage. start hunting and good luck

I'm dealing with a leaking gasket between the fuel pump flange and tank. Got a new one on order. Hopefully that seals it. I would rather not use Motoseal(supposedly a fuel safe solvent based sealer). The fuel pump flange is a little tricky to re-assemble. You need to keep the Brillo pad out of the seal, and the gasket can get pinched preventing a tight seal. Good luck finding your leak.
