I did this recently and takes no time to do.

RE: Mods
That look good bindelsf, thanks for the pics. So ya I think I will just cut it if that is an acceptable solution. But the previous owner took off the mud gaurd/chain gaurd on the back tire. Should i Buy a new one before I start cutting my current fender? And I am just worried I will buy something I cant use, does this look like a decent item to buy? And can a novice figure out how to get new turn signals connected? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/97-98...spagenameZWDVW

RE: Mods
that looks like a good kit. i dont know i havent seen it before..
for the sliders heres a easy easy way to do it:
1. take fairing off.
2. back out the bolt where the slider is going to go far enough to just touch the fairing
3. put play-do on the fairing and reattach
4. take the fairing off
5. tape the painted side of the fairing so you dont chip the paint
6. drill a small hole through the middle of the bolt head mark in the play-do
7. take a hole saw and drill the hole from the painted sided though the fairing.
8. remove the tape and you should be good to go..
heres a pic of mine. i got the extended sliders too..hope it helps.. you cant see them that great but it shows.

RE: Mods
I'm not sure what all has been done to your bike already, so this is just an idea. You can mount your tag to the plastic tab right behind your battery compartment.I'm pretty sure theplastic piece is attached to the seat. I did it on my '94 F2a little bit before it got stolen.Since i don't have it in front of me i can't really take pics pr describe in great detail.it was pretty far under there, but it clearanced the tire and was still visible from the rear. The tab was about 2-3 inches long (hanging down) and was just wide enough to mount the tag with about 1/2" on each side. If you have any of the stock fender, the tag may not be visible if you put it there, but it's just an idea. Hope it helps!
