Keep it stock or modify?
well heres my bike, its a completely stock (other than slip on) 94 f2. Has 26k Miles and all original parts. Its in practically showroom condition and was owned and garaged by the original owner until up to a year ago.
So, my question is this, do you think I should keep it stock or modify it. I kind of want to turn it into a weekend track bike (when I get more experience) and just a fun street bike. As far as modification I would like to respring the front forks, Paint the forks and swingarm black, Add a single seat rear end, new sprockets/chain (maybe go up a couple teeth in rear) and repaint the body (the body is original and flawless, but I HATE how ugly this purple/yellow combo is)
What do you think, also what options do i have as far as a single seat rear for it?

Rebuilding the forks: Smart
Painting the swingarm and forks: Big ol' waste of money.
Single seat tail: Looks like **** on these bikes.
Repaint the body: HUGE waste. Those plastics are worth more piece by piece on ebay than the cost of new chineese fairings or legit race fairings.

Do not Mess with the graphics. It is a pristine beautiful original. The pictures dont capture it but I think that shade of violet it amazing (I have the violet and red version of this,1994)
Shim the jet needles up about .025" with washers and maybe a half turn out on the pilot to compensate for the exhaust and deliver crisper throttle response.
Don't worry about wasting your money on many modifications, if this bike isn't exciting enough for you as is look into making your riding better, the bike is a gem as is, absolute gem.

Alright I think I probably should keep it original and just do a few tasteful modifications. I have a set of racetech fork springs coming in. I think ill also get the new sprockets and chain. Plus I have the headers and midpipe to make the d&d pipe a full system.
One question. Is the seat I have original. Or maybe an option. I've seen the bike with a black seat and I really like it better. Anyone know?

But yeah I see what you mean about keeping original. Its a ton of fun to ride. And in such beautiful shape I'd like to hold on to it for as long as I can. Would be an awesome thing to have in this condition say 10 years from now
I'm almost 100% positive that's a "Second Look" seat cover. My seat is identical, except for the yellow stripes; and it's a "Second Look". You may want to re-spring the rear shock, too; since you're doing the forks.
Otherwise, +1 for just riding it as is; enjoy it!
