Was riding last night and my 94 CBR600F2 just died while I was riding it. Didn't get a chance to check anything out yet, wondering what it could be? Tried to start it and nothing, headlights and other lights work but won't turn over. Tried to push start and still nothing! Had some ran, but it started fine and made it home but when I headed out again barely made it down my street. Bad fuse/regulator/wiring???

Check you fuel filter or a pinched fuel line or if you are a newb dont no if you are or not no offenese check the on and off and resrve switch make sure you didt turn it the wrong way that could be it ....your bike isnt getting fuel thats the only problem it sounds like..... it happend to me when i first got my bike i went to resreve tank and didt fully turn it and it kept dieing on couldt figure out then i look in the manul and felt stupid lol good luck

 

yeah i checked the fuel switch first thing run out of gas a couple of times. Didn't feel like out of fuel it just died no sputtering of anything.

 

hmm check for spark start with that it could be the coils just went up in smoke umm check timing how many miles are on it ?????? thats all i can think about if it was electrical you would of smelt it

 

Might sound funny but I had that same situation happen to me. After I freaked out for a while thinking my bike was messed up. I had my brother in law come down and look at it. He went to school for that stuff, and he found the problem in like 2 seconds... I was out of gas.

 

yes, i too have run out of gas.lol. but when i first got it, when i tried to ride without lettin it run for a bit, once u start openin throtle, it sputters and dies, especially in slightly cool temps. wouldnt start for a few min. shook it a bit and gave it a few cranks at the wrist and bam. started no prob.

 

get a voltmeter and test your battery when engine is on and off... that'll let you know if your charging system is working and if your battery is dead, dying.
