Bike has been rebuilt this morning. Took it out for a small run. Seems fine. But I'm not sure. Cause I haven't got breakdown cover I don't want to take it up the motorway and get to the speed I was doing when it died. But I must say, I don't know whether its just me thinking it is cause I've worked on it but I feel like its seems quicker now. Aha.

Will update again later.

Eureka moment!
Checked the exhaust, and it's blowing! Really bad.
I'd say a third of the pressure is coming out of the joint bewteen the pipe and the can!!

Could this cause te issue I experience? I it's leaking, would it cause a back pressure issue???

Lower back pressure can make an engine run terrible. Try a quick fix, like wrapping the joint in aluminum tape and see if that makes a difference. If that fixes it, you can weld it up or get a muffler shop to make a new pipe

your never gonna believe this.

Its the FUEL SWITCH!!!

basically. when the switch is in this position ...[IMG][/IMG]

Pointing UPWARDS, she runs, no issues, well the CCT needs replacing and thats abit annoying but ill order an APE now.

When the switch is pointing toward the front of the bike, or parrell with the ground, its off, i know its off because it didnt leak when i took it off to clean the carbs.

When the switch is pointing down, it runs for about half a mile, then dies, switch it 180* and hey presto, running again!!!

So, what is needed? can i run it for long periods of time as it is, or do i need to replace something???
Thanks in advance everyone.

Up is reserve - you might just need more gas in the tank, lol. I ran out of gas twice in the same day (long story)

Other than that, the filter/screen might be clogged. I'd remove the whole petcock assembly from the tank and inspect/clean.

I will never, ever, ever run my bike with the petcock in the reserve position. As long as you keep enough gas in the tank, you won't need to. I ran my bike with it in the reserve position and the carbs clogged within a few days. Before I fully understood the function of each position, which is my fault. But running on reserve, the carbs suck up ANY crap on the bottom of the tank and garbed carbs and carb cleans suck.
