Default Jet kits

I'm wondering if anyone has any good resources on potential horsepower gain with the different stages of jet kits. I'm looking to purchase a better proformance airfilter and couple that with my Vance and Hines exhaust I thought a jet kit might add a little love. What do ya think?

Default RE: Jet kits

They won't increase horsepower by more than 1 or so. But a jet kit is necessary with an exhaust and a high-flow filter. You will get better throttle response, and the fuel/air mixture ratio will be corrected. The stage kit you get will be determined by how much work you have done to a bike. Just a slip-on pipe and a high-flow filter only requires a stage 1 kit.
