Default Integrated tail light

My bike has a stock taillight that has been converted (with a trailer harness) to act as the turn signals also. My problem is, when I hit the brakes while signaling, the bulb flashes fast (until I let off the brake). Does this mean that I have the wrong bulbs in, or is the problem in the wiring?

your wiring may be bad, or you may need resistors to take up some of the extra juice

I have one...I don't care for it, so I picked up a set of turnsignals that attach to the license plate holder ($16 off ebay)...the trailer adapter should have the terminales labeled... regardless, here's the wiring diagram.... http://www.1tail.com/motorcycle_part...iagram_UIT.pdf

Look into picking up a set of turn signals... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/suzuk...2090QQtcZphoto

(not my auction)...but a good product

felk,
What don't you like about it? I think the look is great, but the light visibility leaves something to be desired. All of the turn signal kits I have seen are just the opposite. (visibility good, look bad) Also, the one you showed probably wouldn't fit my bike unless I mounted them about mid plate or lower b/c I vhave my plate squeezed into the space(with a little modification) directly under my taillight.

visiblility sucks...hard to tell turn signal is flashing...when i bought my bike it didn't have the "factory" tail light and license bracket (home made fender elliminator)... Ipicked up a little bracket that mounts to the under side and a $2 led light...i drilled a hole in underside and mounted led, mounted bracket just behind led and the turn signals to the bracket...It look very clean, except the butcher job that the last guy did on the fender...bike is at shop getting bearing replaced in fork and a new tire...otherwise I'd post a picture...

I got the plate signals...They are LP(LockhartPhillips).Surprisingly bright for so small.Very easy to install and no problems with the rate of blink either.

I'd like to give it a shot. I'll look around for some clear ones b/c my signals are clear up front. Also, I'd like to find a nice clear taillight too, so that I can get rid of the painted taillight. It was already painted when I got the bike, so I had to do it again. Turned out ok (for a ghetto-*** painted taillight)
