Important... check your valves
Had my 91 cbr in the shop and the mechanic said i was going to run into big trouble soon with my valves, as you can guess i was like thinking oh no wtf engine strip loads of money etc. but then somewhat to my relief he showed me the vavles on the front and back wheels! they were splitting where they went through the rim only noticable at the valve base if you bent the valve away from the rim. i have no idea how long the valves have been fitted as i only bought the bike back last August. Still quite scary when i think what speeds ive been riding with the vavles just ripe for a blow out. So if you cant remember when your valves were fitted or for peace of mind have a quick check over them before you ride next.
Needless to say my wheels are off to change the valves so at the same time im going to fit a set of new Pirelli diablo stradas

A year ago, I changed out the tires on my new (to me) F2 without changing out the shrader valves on the wheel, and sure enough, within a month the valve cracked and would leak out in 30 minutes. Fortunately a friend of mine worked at a bike shop and replaced them front and rear for $5. The valves should be replaced every 2nd set of tires at least (every set if you don't ride too often) so this doesn't happen to you. This is really important if you leave your ride out in the sun and rain too.
