HELP!!! CBR dead and I have no idea why?!?!
Ok guys I'm new to CBR's new to bikes, just plain new,
I bought a CBR600F2 1992 and it had a problem. It would start and run fine but it wouldn't ideal. Once i drove it, it would surge then died and surge then die over and over again {vroom putt vroom putt vroom putt vroom putt} while driving down the road. I figured it was the carbs. So i pulled the bike apart and cleaned the cars realy well, even the small jets. After putting the bike back together now it will not start at all, it tried once and then died, and wouldn't start again. I also noticed a small vacuum port open at the base of the secound most carb in from the right. It has no line to it or any where it should go? also the sub air cleaner box deal isn't tight does that matter?
What can I do?
where should I start?
I just want to ride my bike.
I want to cry.....[/align]

that line sounds like a carb synch line (vaccuum line) throw a screw in it and try to start it. put the battery on a charger let it get a good charge then drain that bitch trying to start it if you have to. but after the charge keep the charger on it while you are starting it

its under the right side of the carbs, and its the ONLY vacuum line coming out of the carbs.
I just pulled the plugs and they are wet, I wet them dry and tried to start it again, it wanted to when i first clicked it then wouldn't. The plugs are wet again.
?????????????????

See if you've got gas flowing freely from your tank. I agree that the vacuum thing you're talking about is for carb syncing and you should just throw a metric bolt in it. The vacuum port that goes to the tank is on the left side of the leftmost carb.
I also agree, fresh plugs, fresh gas. If you're fouling the plugs try it with less choke or no choke at all. After you've cranked it for a while hold the throttle wide open to give it more air in case its got too much gas already.
