I'll take practical over beauty every time. Your's must be broken.
Someone (or something) probably removed them during your bikes long history.

I dont know if it will work as easy as the video, but if I spray enought peretrating oil or Really Good S**t in it, it may work. Another stupid, and I mean stupid question. What part of the helmet do you put in the lock to hold it properly???

Heh, depends on your helmet really. I put the double D's on the chinstrap in it.

The luggage rack is aftermarket. Helmet lock and centerstand is stock.

Well, I guess my lock doesn't work. I tried today. The key barely goes in and just stops like it hit a wall. Whats the likelihood that I have another one on it and new gas and ignition key?

Bummer, that sucks.
Someone prolly lost the original key and had the ignition and gas locks replaced.

stick a flathead screw driver in it and turn it. :-)
