Greeting from Norway fellow F2 owners!
Hiya guys!
Just got my licence a couple of months ago. Knew absolutely nothing about bikes before i got it (and in many ways I still don't).
Anyways, I got an offer from a guy at my work, for an F2 so I went with it. Seems like a easy first-timers bike without too much fuzz.
At the time of purchace it had done about 20k miles. Its an 1991 model. The last owner had only done 1k miles on it for the last six years.
Anyways, when I got it it looked like this:
Original and without any scratches (if your not counting the one on the exhaust) etc. Nice looking really - except for that herendeous pink color!
So I went wild with the rattle can and got it temporarily painted black:
Not too bad for a rattle can job. Anyways Im not gonna keep it that way. My plan is to get a proper paint job done this winter - again in black - and get it too look something like this:
Other that only minor changes has been done to it:
New tail indicators,
New slip-on
BMC air filter
K&N oil filter
Desno spark plug
New touring glass
So what do you think?

Welcome!!
I'd say anything is better than that pink paint job. And to think my purple was one model year away from being that ugly! Good luck and make sure to keep those carbs clean. Almost no riding in those years could have caused gunk to build up in the jets and bowls of the carbs.

I took everything apart and inspected the carbs when i changed the air-filter. Looked clean and nice so I didnt bother doing anything further. Anyway it runs great so...
Oh and yeah that pink paint scheme it the worst imho of all the the cbr schemes. No wonder really that I seldom see a similar see a pink one on the roads anymore.
