I was riding the other night with a buddy of mine behind me. We hit a long stretch so we gunned it. I looked in my mirror to see where he was at behind me because we were coming up on a turn and I didnt want him to hit me. As soon as I looked up from my mirror i saw a deer dart from the right side and the head hit me square in the knee. It put a nice little cut on my knee and busted the fairings on the right side of my bike. My guardian angel must be able to fly pretty fast because some how I did not lay it down.

thats one of the reasons i dont ride at night especially around my parts. (southwestern va)

 

Wow that is really lucky. What happened to the deer? how bad is the fairing?

 

yea i guess i learned my lesson on riding at night...
well the deer ran off after flailing around on the ground for a lil while.
but the fairing is busted with a nice crack all the way from the front right blinker to the removable engine cover piece, which i only found a small piece of went i went back to look, and the piece had blood and hair all over it.
i mean i nailed the deer in the head so im not sure if it survived or not
