Default Fuel Screen Clogged?

Well i've got all the symptoms of a clogged fuel system. I was running my 93 600 f2 on reserve without knowing it and sucked up some junk. I'm hoping that cleaning out my fuel screen will help. I'm posting this because there's not much info. anywhere about the fuel screen on this model. What's the easiest way to get the screen out? Looks like i'd have to take the left rear fairing off. Also looks like some allen wrench bolts are holding the petcok on. Is the fuel screen just a tube that you yank out blow through? How is it cleaned? Or do I need to replace it? If i'm lucky, the bike will run smooth again after this only. Thanks!!

F2's didn't have a fuel filter or fuel screen. That crap that went through your reserve is now probabley in your carbs and would need a cleaning. I use a Goldwing fuel filter and replace every Spring and use only 93 octane(stage 4 or 5 jetting). Still the crap that gets lodged in there is amazing on how much it works or how much $h!t goes through a fuel line. Simply put, clean your carbs thoroughly(there are 'stickies' on the F2 page on how it should be done) and cut your fuel line and install a 3/8th's Goldwing fuelfilter. Remember not to pinch your fuel line and reconnect your small vacuum line back to the petcock and viola.

If you pull the petcock, with a big wrench, thats all you need. The petcock extends up into the tank a couple inches, it has a tube shaped screen on it, be careful, its fragile, dont blow it with air hose, spray carb cleaner on it and rinse immediatly in gasoline. Its always been there, came that way from the factory. But thats the only fuel filter type thing.
