Default Front forks interchangeability?

I am looking to get new front forks on my '94 f2, but was wondering if there are other forks that will fit it. Most likely the only option is to get used parts so why not do a sanity check if something else, and potentially 'better' would fit?

I've tried to do a quick google search, but between my knowledge and english being a second language I find myself not really understanding most of the posts.

Thanks in advance for the help!

A "quick google search" would have lead you to this - https://cbrforum.com/forum/f2-tech-9...-133675/page2/

You have the best forks available for your bike without major effort - to get "better" you need to swap the whole front end. Wheel, brakes, and potentially yoke.

'94 F2 has cartridge forks, very good.

Rebuild with fresh fluid will make it feel much better!

You can modify spring-rate, preload and damping (via oil weight) to match your weight and riding style. Unless you're racing professionally and paycheque to feed family depends upon top-10 finishes, you won't need better than that.

Thanks for the replies, replying late myself as I kind of forgot I made the thread. Exam period and all that.

After reading a bit and weighing my options I think I'll try to rebuild the ones that are on the bike currently. If nothing else, take it as a learning experience, success or not! It looks like they might have some minor scratches or other damage internally, leading to oil sweating.
But now I know what other options I have!
