I hsd exactly the same problem with my 93 f2,on the left upper near the indicator it was covered in white duck tape, underneath was a large hole,i used wire mesh took my time to mold it in the right shape,fixed it to the back of the panel with Gorilla Epoxy, then filler and sanded down on the outside, by the way my bikes main colour is white, it is Ross White,and you can buy large aerosol cans on ebay, i also used Gorilla Epoxy for the cracks,

Default cheap but worked.

$500 Chinese F2 kit I bought and installed. I rushed it a bit, but with covid and trips to the hardware store out of the question, this was better that all that extra work BTW that little white Xis not anything but a reflection from my helicopter light
