upgrade front end options on a f2?
so i was thinking of putting a cbr900 front usd front end on the f2, i want to have the brakes too, which front end will be best to use? as in what year/modle of 900.
so what parts from the 900 front end would i need? both yokes and stem? forks? calipers? discs? wheel? spindle? will the braided hoses on the f2 be okay with the 900 calipers if there long enuff? obviously ill want a uprated 900 master cylinder to match
so any help and advice is appreciated

being that yer F2 is an old girl , i wood concider a seal kit and rebuild your F2 fork , my f2 was a pretty killer set up for the kind of power it puts out..i never had a need for more brake or fancier fork.JMO ...i wood say if ya have to tinker, you will need to take a set of dial calipers and a tape measure and do a lot of research on the donor bikes you are concidering....just so ya know, the F2 is nowere close to being a good canidate for a 929 engine, the chasis is not rigid enough for it, just compare the rear swing arm on yers to a liter bike...with all the time and money , iwood concider getting a 929, or 954, yool be better off in the long run....just my two cents tho....good luck with it either way...peeece
Just about any Honda front end will work as long as you have all the parts -- upper and lower triples, forks with calipers, front wheel with axle and rotors, and clipons. Be patient, scour ebay and you should be able to accumulate all the parts without spending too much -- or do what I did and buy a cheap wrecked bike with an intact front end.
i was looking for a more harderend answer really, i already have a 600rr shock to install to lower the back and set it to my weight (im bout 5'4 and 13 stone lol
), was thinking of just getting the forks rebuilt and fork oil for my weight put in
this seem a better idea? and then just have armstrong racing or ebc triple stintered pads installed and a real good bleedalong with the braided hoses

Once you start trying to mix and match front end parts you'll likely end up needing to fab caliper brackets and wheel spacers to get it to work. Not saying that's always the case, but a complete front end swap is a lot simpler.
It can be done and almost any Honda front end will work. I have seen a 600rr front end done, a 900rr done, a 954/ 929 done, f4i front end put on the f2. Like Red eye said you will need the whole front end, forks, rim, brakes, triple clamp, clip ons, etc. I personally am going to be working on putting the 929 front end on my f2 in the near future.
Good luck. Anything can be done with a little imagination and modification.

I have a minor hangup on rockin a 3spoke F/6spR (600RR, 929/54, F4/4i etc..) ****en love the honda 6spokes. guess I'm just a bit 'oldschool'..
lol
edit: and I do mean the F3, 900RR, RC51 style 6spokes, NOT that ugly F2 front.. Hate the 16" 900RR F :-/

Some helpful info guys, think ill be going with whichever USD front end comes up at the right price, and which can take a F3 wheel.
The wheels from the F3 are alot more lush than the F2's i will agree there.
Will they drop straight into the F2? And does any1 know if the F3 would fit into say the 600rr front end?
