Fluid opinions needed!
Ok so here I am about to buy fluids for my 93' F2 and get stumped! I'm going off of what my Haynes is recommending. What brands do you guys trust?
DOT 4 Break Fluid
Coolant (%50 distilled water & %50 corrosion inhibited Ethylene Glycol)
Chain and Sprocket Lubebricant
Chain and Cable Lubricant (Book advises to ask for Dry Film Lubricant??? what's that!?)

Pretty much any name-brand oil will do the job. Avoid 'enhanced' oils meant for cars.
With a wet-clutch, it can cause slippage. Everybody swears by something.
The names that usually surface are Royal Purple, Castrol, Amsoil...
The important part, is that you DO change the oil.
Coolants...the warmer climates like the water-wetter, etc type products.
But they ain't ever hitting the freezing mark or sport a heated garage
(envy is too short a word, lol).
All the rest, either change twice a year (yeh, right!) or stick to your typical car
application, with corrosion inhibitors and glycol. I use the standard, plain-jane
typical 50/50 car mix, personally. Coolant is coolant. (imo)
Chain lube, get either a wax spay or a quick-dry spray.
Specifically made for chains. Unless you like a filty rear-end, spend the money.
For cleaning, a quick wipe with WD-40, etc. before applying the lube, helps a lot.
Cable lube is usually a carrier with a high evaporate rate and the lubericant,
usually graphite and/or molybendium. Hence the terms dry-film or dry-lube.
You're posting in the F2, so don't forget to lube the speedo-cable.
It runs from the front axle to the instrument cluster's speedo.
If you haven't done it lately, you should throw in a brake-fluid change.
Personally, I do it every other year, but some of the 2%-ers like to do it every
spring, at the start of the season.
If you check you-tube and/or this forums "how-to" or general tech threads,
you'll find lots of tips and advice on the best procedures to follow.
Good luck, Ern

Pretty much what ern said.
You will find that alot of bike shops charge alot for fluids.
As for coolant - anything goes. I use whatever is on sale at Canadian Tire.
Motor oil - cheapest way to do it IMO is diesel oil. I use Shell Rotella (you can use the synth, I use fossil). 15W40.
I use ChainWax for the chain. Take good care of it, and it won't kill you.

I only got chain and sprocket lube, DOT4 brake fluids and coolant.
The book came with a cool diagram to lubricate them using a bag of regular oil tied to the top of the cable and then just waiting for the oil to drip down to the bottom of the cable!!

You can find a cable-luber for spray lube at most bike shops.
They look like this...
Motion Pro - Cable Luber
