Default fiberglass upper with oem lowers? worried about fit

I'm looking at buying fiberglass oem style upper fairing on ebay.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...3AIT&viewitem=

I already have a race upper that came with my bike, i was thinking of using that but it seems like it would need alot of modification to fit properly with my oem lower fairings. There are no slots for the tabs that are on the oem lowers where they meet the side of the upper.

I was just wondering if anyone has gone with this upper. I know it is oem style so far as the slots and other mounting provisions, but i kind of just want to get something that i could just slap on to get the bike on the road. I'm jonesin to ride...

I bought a one piece upper that was fiberglass. It was ok. The headlight mounting points were junk. The three piece may be different but I would try to find a plastic one. The oem lowers didn't fit that great but it was not bad. If I were you I would try to find oem or aftermarket plastic first before the glass one.

I would recommend getting a plastic upper as well. Although I'm not sure if it's the same or not, but the 92 f2 I bought for my brother had a one piece fiberglass upper, with factory tabs and mounts, and it worked with stock oem lowers and access panels. I must say tho it was cracked up pretty bad, not sure if all fiberglass parts would do that or not

Return the fibercrapp back to the company on ebay-
i went through hell and back getting it to fit...
which its ok now but it is short from matching up to lowers,
i have got a piece of wheather stripping in between upper
and lower. it looks pretty good now but i put many painful and pissed
off days. alot of drilling and modifying.
just my advice

i have a one piece sharkskins fiberglass upper fairing that i have mounted with my stock side fairings. It mounts and works perfectly. I would say get a decent glass upper though. there are a lot of ****ty *** ones out there that will crack and break everywhere b/c they are too thick and not flexible enough. plus you can always repair the upper if you crash it, its a big plus.
