Well thanks very much fenatic! I'm lookin foward to taking it down to Fl. for speedweeks and just out in general!! Yeah it was a bit pricey but i plan on keeoping this one for a couple years.. cheapish insurance and paid for!

thanks as well 4x4! That makes me feel a little better! My brother advised me to keep that one to myself..haha. But it went smooth. The only complaint i have, as of last night, i had to buy a rubbber gromet because the new plastic didnt have one and i dont have the originals. When i stuck the little spear like thing in and went to pull it out it broke..i know it may be kinda my fault but it didnt go in that hard. hoping fiberglass resin will fix it!

how did they do the tank? do they send a cover or did you have to get the tank done to match the plastics?

if the sent a cover, how was the fit over the tank? any loose areas where it would rattle around or get noisy in the wind, or fit pretty well?

They sent one! It fits tight where it's bolted down but it's about 1/2" to high on the top where the hole for the fuel is. Dont think it's gona rattle but havent took it out yet so cant say for shure. The gap doesnt bother me to much but if ur picky it prolly would.

ya i figured the fitment would be fair at best. i think im gonna have a buddy of mine do a vinyl wrap on the tank and match the design best i can. i dont think i could cope with a half inch gap. would bug the hell outta me. but im weird that way.

i dont blame ya but after looking it it aint that big. its near touchin in the front and maybeee 1/4" in back but if you could get the wrap to match that would be the way to go! Goodluck..

ya i like the idea of the vinyl wraps. i know a guy that does them and we tried to do my buddys r6. his bike has too many sharp edges and compound corners. wouldnt stay in the low spots. i think my bike will work pretty well though. lots of fairly flat areas, no really sharp corners/angles. looking forward to trying it out...
