Thanks guys , I bought this bike new from the dealer back in 1992 and have tried to keep it clean ever since, I havedriven it about 30K ( kilometers it's about 18.000 miles )

Power, well I have been working on this bike for a long time and was drag racing it some 10 years ago.

The engine mods are milled and ported cylinder head and the cams timed in after, ( if you mill the cylinder head you upset the cam timing )

I have not dyno tested the bike but I can tell you that I have a frend how owns a 2007 CBR RR and I had more power then him, quite a bit more.

We were driving to gather, I was in 6th gear he was in 5th gear doing about 100km/hr when we both fully opened the throttle...... and I left him there [sm=smiley15.gif]

My bike has a -1 +2 sprockets while his bike is completely standard.

Hi there,

My best run was a 10.88 I can't remember exactly what the speed was but it was around 122MPH.

Yes I'm using the stock cams.

During this run I was using an extension to the swingarm and a quick shift, the one that cuts out the engine momentarily while you shift.

To do a good run I spent a lot of time setting up the bike, front height, rear height, adjusting the carbs to the limit and things like that. Usually I had to adjust the carbs once or twice during the day as the ambient temperature and pressure changed.

The main issue with drag racing is consistency, I haveoften seen guys buy all the go fast goodies and still loose to the next to standard bikes.
