Default F2 vs VFR750

Ok it looks like im going to sell one of my f2's
Im looking a 97 VFR750 its in pretty good condition needs a little fiberglass work but no big deal
I would like to get something a little more torque and power
I was looking at the specs and it looks like its almost head to head with f2 by the numbers
Anyone have any exp. with the vfr ?

Default RE: F2 vs VFR750

I have a 96 vfr, a 93 f2 track bike and just picked up a 94 f2. I love the motor in the vfr, it's got great torque and I have the TBR full system so it sounds like a small block v8 sometimes. I just wish it had a little more power; be nice if it was a 1000cc. It handles well enough, but it always feels a bit sloppy; suspension is probably shagged. I went to that from a 954 so it always kind of feels like a pig, but the riding position is much better... even if I don't look as cool as I did on the 54.
I'm debating whether to sell it or the other f2 I picked up. I hate the tail and I'm not crazy about the front fairing, plastic is hard to find cheap also. Whichever one I keep is going to get some custom paint.
You should check out vfrdiscussion.com for more insight. Penske makes a rear shock and you can add rc51 forks fairly easily to upgrade the suspension. I've seen people also mod or convert the tail to something but it's a lot of work.
