Default F2 Value, and advice

I have a 94 F2 Cbr 600 with good treads, gold shorty shifters, new carbs, +1/-1 Sprocket and Golden Chain, and roughly 27k Miles on it. The bikes engine is nearly perfect but the plastics and such have seen way better days. I was wondering two things:

What would the value of the bike be worth, and is it even worth it to..

Buy the $400-$500 new plastic be worth the investment to raise the value? Im looking to upgrade to a newer bike, or get as much as i can for the bike.

Thanks ahead guys.

i feel it would just cause im in the same situation as you.. you have to think about what a lot of the people out there buying bikes are looking for.. which is the LOOK of the bike.. you know?.. so i feel its worth it.. but i know when i get mine all situated with the plastics and everything im selling er for 2000 at least.. idk how much you were thinking but its really a choice you have to make for yourself.. im thinking as if i was the buyer.. i know i would want a nice looking bike.. all bikes pretty much go fast sooo.. i would want it to look nice.. but if your selling to someone who is gona stunt it or race.. it shouldnt matter..

It should change the value but not by much. Id have to see pictures, but if your plastics are rashed bad and cracked, yet runs perfect, id sell the bike for around 900-1000. You could get a set of china plastics for 500 and attempt to sell it for 1550-1600 to make a few extra bucks.

To give you an idea, I just sold my F2 for 2000. Plastics in great condition with a custom paint job, valve clearance checked, carbs cleaned and tuned perfectly, K&N, Jet kit, New -1+2 chain/sprocket combo, new battery, reupholstered seat. The guy didn't mind the price because of the paint job and the fact that the engine and carbs were checked and known to run great.

im surprised you sold it that low, kids around here that are looking for started bikes have paid up to 2700 for f2 in good condition..

i think im going to go ahead and buy the plastics and see what i can get for it, 500 invested for a bigger pay out cannot hurt

thanks man
