Default F2: The ultimate touring bike?

Okay, so it's not the best touring bike ever, but it's definitely not bad, either. I just did 1,280 miles over two days to go from Connecticut to Florida on my F2. Doing the return trip in four days, and riding to Key West (another 6 hours south of where I am now) tomorrow.

My bike doesn't even have the stock ergonomics since I have Woodcraft clipons and rearsets, but it still did me fine. I may have required an Ibuprofen or two once I reached my destination, though!

That's impressive. I'm hoping to do a long ride one day but so far it feels pretty comfortable - more than I expected - but not like the Mustang seat on my VTX. That I can sit on all day.

Just an update that I got back yesterday afternoon. The total trip mileage was somewhere in the 3,000+ mile mark, as I went from CT to Key West and back. All is well and my leathers smell like crap.

do they make raised clipons like they do for the VFR? I think they call them helibars. Also can anyone recommend an aftermarket set for the F2?

You could try an LSL handlebar kit from XPO streetfighter, but it isn't cheap.

bout the same price as helibars I did see someone got a set of the helibars onto a hurricane. IDK if there is a sizing difference or not tho.

Those LSL's look SWEEEET Do you have any experience installing them? It says for the F2, they come with a clamp on adapter, I assume it is pretty easy to put those on.

edit: nvm found the pic. Type AS is the kind for the F2. Looks real simple to install.
