Default F2 Single side swingarm

I have heard of people putting a vfr swingarm on an F2 and i am thinking about trying it myself. I know that this is a huge job that will involve some machining of bushings and other pieces. I was wondering if anyone out there has either had experience in doing this or do they have an F2 that has this mod done?

hey man i jsut picked up my f2 this week and it has a Honda Hawk GT Aluminum Single Sided Swingarm. the guy said that he machined the bushings and he fabed the shock mount so that the bike didnt sit 3 inches too low in the rear. i have lots of pics and i would be able to get more of the mount set up if you would like me too. i love the bike with the swingarm i have a few pic in my album take a look and tell me what you think... and it still drive great with the swingarm

Man that swing arm looks sweet, i love the way it looks on that bike. im am in the process of looking for one right now off of about a 95 vfr but they arent very easy to find. Solo seat looks good on that bike also. If you could post some more pics that would be awsome.

Default Updates?

So I have a 92 F2 and a Hawk GT swingarm sitting patiently beside it, silently prepping for the install this winter. Any basic thoughts or specific things to do or avoid? Modern pics would help. Thanks!

Default CBR600 F2 SSA Hawk GT

Update!

Got her on! Axel was same (used CBR axle,, had to customize some spacers and bushings) and had to fabricate an upper shock mount, but she rides!

That's awesome!!!

Did you happen to weigh parts when swapping? Wonder if mod gained, lost weight or remained same?

Now you gotta do the undertail exhaust to really shown off that swingarm!!!

Fantastic Job, well done.
For prosperity you might like to list the parts you had to fabricate etc. to aid anyone else thinking of doing the same.
