Clymer manual specifically stated the pump internals aren't servicable.

 

yea i knew they werent serviceable and i new that hole if coolant was coming out meant it was bad on any car that has em. i just wasnt sure if itd be the same for the bike lol. i got the engine out and the head off im waitng for the new cometic head gasket. idk why the pump decided to start leaking i guess things go bad... i think the head gasket has already been replaced too im pretty sure the one i took out was a cometic.

 

 

well its all back together i put the new head gasket on changed the oil cooler o rings and im waiting on the new water pump. ive been filling the coolant system with distilled water and running it and then draining it to flush the system. from what i can see it doesnt look like oil is getting in the system anymore. for some reason now the water pump isnt leaking out the weep hole anymore... im still gunna put the mew one on when i get it. found one on ebay brand new for $115 i didnt wanna pass it up. so basically so far so good but ill find out for sure when i get it out and do some riding...
