F2 Gauges
Hey Forum, Bought an F2 a couple weeks ago and the gauges are trashed. I want to get something aftermarket, why spend money on something stock, right? so need some suggestions and have a few questions. Are digital gauges hard to install? could I use some off of another bike? saw some gauges off of other cbrs on ebay, could that be possible? any input at all would be greatly appreciated.
Well, our bikes run off a cable drive speedo so digital gauges dont work right away. The easiest way to get them to work is to get a magnetic pickup that hooks up to your front rotor. A lot of aftermarket gauges cone with this already if you are getting them off ebay. There is another way to do it involving a hard to find cbr900 piece. I see it alot when people try to put the f4i gauges on.
I'm having the same exact problem with my build. I'd be fine going with a stock cluster but they're too expensive to be worth it. Would I be better off:
A.) Buying a trailtech vapor
or
b.) Buying a cluster for a 1990 F1 for $80. It appears that it's almost identical, and might even be as simple as plugging it in and bolting it on, as it uses the same connections.
