I need some information, I found a black exhaust silencer that was listed as being from an F4 CBR6 so I brought up every image of the F4 I could find and NONE of them had a black silencer. So, coming to the conclusion that the seller had made a mistake and it was indeed an F2 can I hit the buy it now, however, on further investigation I may have cocked up. The part number for the standard F4 silencer appears to be HMMHL- E2 made by Yutaka with the designation number 2334 "So, my question is "IS this definitely an F4 can and if it is will it fit my F2 because if it won't, I'm going to have to contact the seller and get this sorted, your help would be very much appreciated.

Just had a message from the guy after leaving him one last night, he says there is the code/part number 2334 under the E2 number as stated previously and after doing some research this part number also seems to match up with the silencer part number from the CBR600F 87-90 only difference being that one is stamped E13 not E2 as this one is. Looking at it it looks exactly right for mine so unless anyone tells me otherwise in the next few hours it looks like I'm buying it.

 

I suspect that they may... fit. I think that the silencer will be from an F3 all F4 have silver silencers.
AFAIK there was not signifcant differences on the frames between the F2 and F3.

Hey thanks buddy that really helps 'and pretty much confirms what 'I thought, I know the F4 didn't have the black silencer as I looked into it so new it either had to be F2 or F3 so I'm thinking it will fit too so all good 'and it cost me a whole lot less than what F2 standard cans are being listed at ... don't ya just love people who make mistakes or don't know their stuff in Evil Bay
