Default F2 died :/ (electrical?)

Let her warm up, then went to let the clutch out and I guess I stalled, but when it stalled the whole bike shut off like someone ripped the battery out. Main fusible link? the little fuses are fine, but when I turn the key nothing happens. no dash lights, no head or tail, and no cranking. tried jumping it with the car battery and got nothing.

Go to the main relay it's attached to your positive battery terminal under the gas tank and remove the 30 amp fuse. If blown replace, if not make sure that plug is securely plugged on and the jiggle the wires. Them you should be good

I put another fuse in and it blew up the second I went to plug that plug back in. so I'm guessing that I have a new short somewhere. Any common places?

Check your cable terminals for the right +/- connections.

Check the tightness of your battery connections at the terminals and negative to the frame. If your battery is more than 2 1/2 years old replace it or don't know when the PO got it, replace it. The 30amp fuse shouldn't be blowing that quickly, check the fuses also in the fuse box.

You can also check the wires to the voltage regulator. My buddies f2 wires to his voltage regulator were all cobbed up from prior owner and popping his fuses constantly. We rewired them all properly and it works mint now. Just another place to check if ur running low on ideas

The Red wire coming off that main 30amp fuse runs directly to the Ignition switch. From there it hops over to feed the fusebox on 2 circuits. One of those circuits runs to the Start/Run switch. Broken/cracked solder connections at that switch are relatively common on these bikes, and don't take much to fix.

I had fixed that wire previously when the headlight wasn't turning on, but that's not the issue here.

The issue is that the second I go to plug in the harness into that lead from the battery, it blows the fuse. So I'm just assuming I have a grounding issue or a short somewhere. I pulled the 4 secondary fuses and tried it and it still popped.
