Default Exhaust repair question

On my downpipe to the link connection (where two pipes go into the join to become one) the pipe is starting to blow. It looks as though the join/weld has just dissapeared.

Is there a good lubricant/paste to try and repair this for my M.O.T as I aint a welder and have tried the mild steel compound which lasts for a few hours but once you blast the bike down the motorway it comes off (thought this was supposed to be good too)

Only way to repair that is welding...take it to a welder for 20.00 to patch it up.
