so i love the naked look of the rear tire. and since my bike soon won't have a back seat i want to make an undertail for it and get rid of my rear peg assembly's. and i was thinking of modding my exhaust. i want something like in the pic below but i dont know how that will affect performance. and would it be insanely loud? its kinda loud as it is with my shorty.

i thought about hacking my header where they come into two pipes from four. then having two pipes funnel down the bike into two shorty cans, something with a small diameter, and then have them puke out somewhere around my rearsets. my bike is stock height and i think she wills stay that way. anyother ideas are more than welcome...

Without the fairings to hide the pipe, the header/midpipe end up looking a mile long. After looking at your pictures and my bike, my best idea would be to split the header like you say and run pipes tight to the engine to hide them, and come up on either side of the rear shock and have very thin shorties that come out just behind and above the rearsets. Not sure if you can picture it or not.

 

ya thats exactly the look i want. but my problem is, where to get the shortys i need. cuz most of them have too large of a diameter to look good. and second is where to go to have the exhaust bent. its gonna be a custom job but i don't want anything to pricey.

what kind of power difference will i see. since there will be two mufflers i assume louder.

 

Maybe you could take a set of laser slip-ons, the ones that end up with 4 small cans, and just use 2, and shorten them. It will be loud but not deafening, but hey its a streetfighter.
