(Sorry if this is the wrong section) Hello so I bought my first ever 600 yesterday and I was told it's a 1994 F2, then I checked the VIN and All I can get from it is xx (scraped off) xxPC31A8VM20093 Which I searched and PC31 is F3 I think, and then I checked the engine ID and it says PC25E-2708330 which I searched again and PC25 is F2? but then found PC25E-27 is f3? so I'm a tad bit confused on what year/ varient I have would anyone be able to help?

 

VIN numbers will always start JH2PC, should be stamped on the steering head if you can't read the sticker.
Anything starting JH2PC31A0VM would be a 97 UK CBR600 F-V (F3).
Anything starting JH2PC31A0WM would be a 98 UK CBR600 F-W (F3).
Engine # starting at PC25E-27 are 98 UK CBR600 F-W (F3).

So double check your vin again.
Either you've got a 98 or a 97 with a 98 engine.

Posting a couple good pics of the bike would help.

it's a 'W' in the vin, thats a 98 and matches the engine number too.
So it's a 98 UK F3.

Just out of curiousity, where are you located?
