Easy/worthwhile F2 mods
New to the site, but like a lot of people have been using it for info. Bought a '93 F2 600 Oct. 2010. Has an F3 body and a slip on D and D exhaust. Was lookikng for some tips on some mods that a handy man that is new to bikes could do to set mine apart? Thanks for any help

Welcome to the forum. Braided steel brake lines are a marvelous addition to any sportbike and improve brake performance and feel. Spielger can make them in various colors... http://www.spieglerusa.com/

Biggest things are how you interface with the bike and how the bike responds to the road. Rearset risers (F4i ones fit) and putting the clipons below the triples (if you've got no fairings, sorry won't fit with the bubble fairings these old girls have got, F2 or F3) will put you in much more intimate contact with the bike and give you easier control over it. Springs for your weight and preload adjustment is something you really should do, and it is pretty cheap, probably $220 front and rear. You say you have new tires, and that's good. They're by far the most important thing on the bike. Is the chain in nice shape? A 1/5th turn throttle off an R6 is another great mod. GSXR R/R so you don't murder batteries is another I'd highly recommend. EBC HH sintered pads are a must.
