Default Does anyone make a Rebuild kit for the F2?

Went to my local Honda shop today and asked about a rebuild kit for the F2. They gave me the whole deer in headlights look. They said I would have to purchase each part individually and probabley expensive too. Anybody make one?
I will need new valves, rings and probabley gaskets too by winter on how hard I ride.

All you need to buy is the engine gasket kit and any parts you need. (rings, bearings, valve seals, etc)

Surprising I haven't blown 2nd gear yet as hard as ride, a complete rebuild kit would save my motor time. Chicken strips are gone in 2 days on my tires. Valves, gaskets, rings and bearings going on 30K and have felt my wrath. If I make it to winter is a gamble. A Worse part is this majority is a daily commuter everywhere, unless rain in riding season. All I need is a kit to get it all done in one sweep. Any Help???

I havent rebuilt this bike. I take it most people just spend a couple hundred dollars and buy a used motor from another bike.

There is no rebuild kit like there is on small block chevy or fords. You need to buy a gasket kit. Whats wrong with the valves? Is one of them starting to suck into the head? If not the valves should be ok. If not let me know I have a spare head sitting in the garage ready to bolt on. Valve seals & piston rings would be recommended. I would also recommend the honda bond HT gasket stuff. Dont use some rtv from your local parts store. Other than that you should be good.

What exactly is involved with the big bore piston kit? I imagine you'd have to machine some parts of the motor correct?

Since the cylinders are part of ther cases. The cases will need to be split, head removed, & pistons removed. Then when you get the new pistons take the pistons & upper case half to a machine shop & have the cylinders bored & honed to size. 636 is as big as you can go on the stock sleeves.

The work isn't as huge of a deal, it's the additional hidden costs. I wonder what a machine shop would want.

I guess the good news is that the kit includes new pistons and rings. Not only will there be a power gain, but anything lost due to the rings fading will come back

Still... that's $1000~ rebuild! Yowza!

every now and then there is a rebuild kit on ebay, but for the cost it would be easier for you to ride it till it blows, and then replace the whole thing. I for example have another engine just laying around waiting for its chance to shine and you can find them all over the place for a fraction of the cost of boring it over and all of that, and if you bore over your bike your gonna introduce a whole new can of worms to the mix... so i would just let it blow or buy a newer bike
