To be honest, I have not been running a fan. But, I do live in the sticks. Not much stop and go traffic in a town of 30,000. I have been looking into getting a fan made by SPAL. There are alot of them on ebay. I am looking at a 6.5 inch fan that is 2 inches deep. What are the measurements on the stock fan? I tossed mine years ago and don't have one to compare measurements to. they offer a push and a pull version, so you could get one that mounts on the front of the radiator if it comes down to it. lets see some pics of your progress and keep us updated.

I have heard of people using computer fans. They are way small and you can fit prolly two on eash side of the radiator...

yeah i just took mine completely off too. the stock fan is about 2 1/2"x 7" .. i think mounting one on the front would be the best bet.. i took about 15 pics today but i have to upload them and all that fun stuff but i will get them on here soon.. i finally got around to getting a rad. hose so now i am pretty much done, hoping to pull it outside and start it up tommorrow..

i did ALL the work in my living room i dont have a garage (except the welding) only took about 2 weeks on and off working on it girlfriend really wants it done too!!

i thought about the computer fans also, but i was concerned about two things. weather, and i don't think there is any way they could hold up.

not sure about computer fans because the computer CPU only get up to 120F and the rad will get up to 220f. also if you use the case ones they probly will melt. i use a fan of another bike (forget what on could find out) and just monted it in the middle of the rad on the front. i had to take the fan apart and flip of the blades so it would push the air not pull. if you just revurse the power it not going to put out the CFM it could. you can mount it in the middle of the rad then the forks will not hit it. the only other thing you have to worrie about it the front tire hitting when it compressed. so you need to place it up high. I dont have pic of it right now but if you guy want pics or more info im glad to help.

Hey rsp919 were did you get the undertail pipes at? were could you get them done i think that is sick. also how much mod did you have to do to get your upper fairring to fit with the head lights?

Thanks

hey nipz, some pics and more info on the fan would be great. the exhaust was easy. i took cbr900 headers, and ducati998 mid-pipe and cans. mount the cans where you like them and connect point a to point b with some peices of pipe and a little welding. keep in mind i had plenty of room because of the alloy subframe i had made. the upper in a nutshell, take a f2 upper and a r6 upper and cut them in half below the headlights, position the r6 part where you like it and bond together using carbon, fiberglass, jb weld, bubble gum, what ever you can to bond them well. after that a little paint and bodywork and waalaa. i was able to mod a r6 upper bracket for mounting (very ez mod). keep in mind there will not be enough room for stock gauges, i use a digital setup from motogadget. you can barely see them in this pic. hope this helps

Yeah, i got all the bodywork back on and got some new pics. The problem is the usb ports on my pc have wigged out. My pc won't recognize my camera and I can't upload them. I still need to get the bodywork painted, so I was going to post the pics and let some of the Photoshop guys play with them and see what they could come up with for a paint scheme. I hope to have my pc fixed this weekend and I can get them up.
