Cooling issues
So im on the interstate and my radiator begins to boil over. Spewing from the cap and that **** is HOT on arms FYI. Anyways i just bought the bike a few weeks ago and this was the first big ride. I had put about 15 miles on it during the heat of the day and it started to throw up at me. I pulled over got the bike home via truck. Well i was looking around and the coolant bottle on the right side was about 1-2 inches from the top. So i took some out till it was between the low/upper level. I noticed it was kinda watery looking almost.
I tried to look in my clymer for what fluid to use and it said glycol something. I ended up not adding anything as the engin was staying cool. It worked fine for a 250 miles. Well yesterday my clutch cable snapped so i had to ride about 5 miles in 3rd gear to get home (managed to time all the lights just right and didnt do over 25mph) the fan was on and the radiator started to spew again.
Could it be the radiator cap is bad? And should the fluid be super light green or should it be the stuff that goes in cars? Will any radiator fluid be okay to do a flush with? Sorry this is so lenghty. Also is it easy to change a clutch cable?

Ethelyn Glycol is whats its called for coolant. With this you want to add a non silconized coolant in there(best from motorcycle place). With this you want to do a 50/50 since it has the best cooling property's. If it seemed diluted it wouldn't surprise me if the old owner just kept adding water to the bike ontill he sold it. Best thing to do is flush it out good and put new coolant in. This should fix your issue. So the following do
-Change coolant
-Look at radiator fins to see if bent
-If all fails radator could be plugged or bad water pump

Clutch cable is super easy to replace... undo it at both ends (handlebar and clutch basket), then pull the old one out but tie a piece of string or something to it before pulling it out so you can pull the new one in with the other end of the string. this ensures that you route it through the bike the same way. then adjust the new cable until the clutch feels good.
Make sure to flush with antifreeze that has 'low silicates' / non-self-cleaning

Just use engine ice, buy two bottles. With it overheating on the highway i would check or just replace your thermostat. Its in you clymer for its location. I had the same thing happen. Would boil over on the highway or sideroads. Deffinetly flush the radiator though. Either a 50/50 of water and vinegar or just buy the flush at autozone. you can find the proper procedure by searching for it. a new thermostat from the honda dealer is 30 bucks and like a 5 minute fix.
Im about to get off work and i had my wife go pick me up two bottles of engine ice but she forgot to buy the flush. Can i get run some of the Engine ice through it untill it begins to come out the other end? would that count as a flush? lol
