Continental Conti Motion
I switched from Bridgestone Battlax to Continental Conti Motion over the winter because the Battlax were wearing out and they nibbled ( you know when there is a crack in the road and the tire tends to follow the crack), which I do not like. The new Continental Conti Motion tires are impervious to the cracks and only feel squirmy when the temperature is in the high 30s and the tar is melting. But more than a few times I have found the rear tire now slides around when braking, sure I put in new brake pads when I changed tires but the front still grips as well as the Bridgestone. I have had it slide in a straight line when braking from 110 KPH at a stop sign, but it slid out a few times in the city when making a right/left turn, without any stop sign. Just as you're coming off the brake and the bike has fallen into the corner, the rear losses grip for a second, not enough to make you snap the throttle off, just enough to do that quick "what the hell" I did once go back to see if there was anything on the road and nothing was on the surface. So has anyone else notice the same thing with the Continental Conti Motion??
